The Return of the Press

By: Si Qi Gundrum, Zachary Hein, and Addison Melzark The students at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Kewaskum will get their voice back next year as the first issue of “Veritas,” the school’s new online newspaper, is expected to go live prior to the 2024-2025 school year. The web-based publication replaces the former print version, the “Paw Print Press,” which was suspended during the COVID-19 outbreak and never returned. Veritas, which means “the truth” in Latin, was named by Father Jacob Strand, the former pastor at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Serving God and Others

Zachary Hein, an Eighth grader at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Kewaskum, has been there nearly a thousand times. Zach, an altar boy since the fourth grade and the senior server this past year, serves God at Mass and believes this is something every faithful child should aspire to. “You are doing what God wants, and you are helping out the priest,” Zach said, “And during the consecration, the priest is Jesus, and Jesus is the priest, and that means you are serving God and the Holy Spirit, too.” Serving has made Zach’s relationship with God stronger […]
